    Nice moody lighting, but major focusing problem, eek.

    Lighting great. I can hardly see the baby clearly though. Retake the shot and send it out on your Christmas Cards!

    Seems very busy and not entirely focused on the girl. The white of her dress seems overexposed and loss of detail.

    Agreed the focus is off. I like the idea of the picture.

    Search "dragging the shutter". I think that would help the overall mood and crispness of the shot.

    Aside from what has already been mentioned, the photo also neeeds to be straightened. The fireplace is leaning upward on the right.

    as far as lighting her dress does seem a bit too blown out but focusing is really your problem

    I think that's just a by-product of the angle of the shot. The sides of the fireplace are also leaning to the left.

    Agreed it needs to be straightened a little though.
