what do you think of this one?

    What do you think of this? Which one do you like better. I like the first one better but wanted to get everyones opinion. I know it would be better with a real flower. Im gonna get one and try it again. Just wanted opinion on the lighting. What do you think about the composition too. I know it is kinda centered but i think it looks ok. I didnt want to offset it and have to much dead space.

    Yep, get the real flower.

    Second one is better. It has more contrast and gives it a bit more dimension.

    Play more with depth of field.

    And yes you can move the rose out of the center without creating negative space: make the shot tighter - zoom in. Don't leave it in the center.

    I also like the lighting in #2. I would shoot it at the same focal point, and possibly play with the crop.

    Maybe try different color flowers...

    Yep, :D I thought it would make a nice flower holder. lol
