    Hey guys
I do a lot of low level photography (as in at grass height) and was wondering weather i could modify a tripod to hang a camera upside down between the legs of the tripod. would this be possable or am i overcomplicating things again cheers

There are tripods that allow this...I don't recall the model names but a quick search should turn up something. Look at Bogen / Manfrotto and maybe Slik.

Any of the old Davidson Star D elevator tripods performed this little trick without a problem. This is also useful for macro copy work. They are quite heavy -- mass soaks up vibration, you know. That's at least two reasons for why I use one - the Conquest model, in fact..

Even my cheap Manfotto 714B digi allows you to reverse the pillar. It's very useful for macro work.
