    there was a film and digital camera in one.... would you buy it?

    there is, and no, $15k+ is more than i can afford...

    If it did both equally well, and was affordable I would buy it.

    Most multi-purpose devices of any sort don't do both things equally well.
    Sometimes they suck at 1, but often they don't do either one very well.

    I would not buy it since I have a film camera that takes the same lenses as my dSLR.

    So does every medium format producer ;)

    But honestly why bother. Enough of us have film SLRs as well as DSLRs and lenses that go on both of them.
