What is ment by M1 ....???

    Hey ive been adviced to purchase a .....M1 ?? SLR 35mm camera for a course am about to embark on and was wondering what he ment by M1? :?: can anyone help me?

    Hmmm, I'd ask for more info. Possibly they are refering to a Leica M1. That would be a vintage rangefinder 35mm camera (not an SLR).

    I wonder if they said OM-1 instead of M-1. There's a BIG price difference.

    The Olympus OM-1 is a manual 35mm SLR which can be found readily on eBay for <$100.

    The Leica M-1 is a 35mm rangefinder that will cost you at least $750-1000 IF you can find one.

    Actually, the M1 was an M2 with only two framelines, and no rangefinder. See http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3824392051[/url] It was made to be used with a microscope or reflex housing.
