Hello,

I am looking to purchase one more lens very soon. Please make some suggestion. I was thinking between 24-70mm f2.8L, 85mm f1.2L, 135 f2L, or 100mm f2.8L Will purchase 5D mk III this week first. Mostly I do swimming photos for my sons and using 70-200. Will do some events, birthday party, portrait, family pictures, and etc. for friends and families.

Thank you,

What lenses do you already own? I see you have a 70-200. Anything else? I would think the 85mm would be great for what you list as an "all around" lens. 1.2 will be awesome, 85mm is a great length on a FF body.

Thank you. I have 50 f1.8, 70-200 f2.8, and Sigma 18-35 f1.8.

Seems to me you have a big gap in what you have that would be best filled with the 24-70. Thats what Id go with.

That 70-200 2.8 II you have is already a fantastic lens for portraiture work. Im not sure you would get much better if any better with the 135 2L.

The 85 1.2 is an awesome lens and I love mine but the new 24-70 2.8 II is such an awesome lens as well and so versatile I would still go that route hands down. Just my 2cents.

Maybe the EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM ?

Thank you.

Is your 70-200 v2 IS 2.8? There is like 6 or more versions of " 70-200 lens and many brands.

Oops I see you said 2.8, great, going to be hard to beat that for what your doing. What was suggested already are great ideas.

I love the portraits my preffered photog gets of my daughter with her 85mm 1.2 on a 6D, so you would be in great shape there and the other lens are bang in too.

Have you seen the Petzvals? They make crazy bokeh for portraits, you mught like it.

Maybe the EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM ?

YES, have you considered this as a good, affordable (used-LOADS of them available used!), handy all-in-one lens? More range than a 28-70 or a 24-70, and very easy to handle weight!
