To far of a long shot to get a good one.

What is this Pird of prey with tallons and feathered legs and strange markings.

I believe I saw some one asking the same question pertaining to the same type and coloration bird on flicker once.......

Aren't buzzards usually bald.. like a turkey? I think it's an eagle. I'm not sure tho. It'll be interesting when someone who knows says it though.

looks like maybe a juvenile bald eagle, but the feet are more of a white color in these shots..? any idea on the color of feet and are the wings brownish or blackish?

I wouls say blackish but I was a long way off. Might be a Juvenile golden eagle.

I had the same thought on sight but in all my searching I could not find one with that beak, The markings are definately jouvinile but.....jouvinile what.

I assume you took this stateside correct, that narrows down the list considerably. That Juvenile golden eagle is a desteinct possibility but again the beak seems odd to me, maybe it's the distance.


I'd hang out near there and wait for the oppertunity to get a nother picture of it.
