Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Just as my title says, I'm looking for a cheaper alternative to photoshop. I mainly do b&w, but I definitely want to be able to edit professional quality pictures in the future.

So.....is photoshop all that is golden? Or is there something that's good..enough?

The gimp rocks. It does. Really. Get it.

Photoshop Elements will do more than most people ever learn to use, and its only around 80 bucks. The most recent version added even more capability. You can't beat it, IMO.

great - thank you!

Ive never heard of the gimp - since it's free it looks like it'll be a good start to check out. and if I don't like it, I didn't realize the photoshop elements program was as cheap as it is.

thanks!
