I have decided I'm going with a d90. I have came up with a few options and would like some input regarding what one is the most logical. I enjoy shooting scenic shots, night, and will maybe do some portrait.
Nevertheless, here are my options:
OPTION 1: Nikon D90 with 5.8x 18-105 mm lens. No TAX or Shipping
Walmart.com: Nikon D90 Black 12.3MP Digital SLR Camera Kit with 18-105mm Lens, DX-format CMOS sensor, 24fps D-Movie Mode, 3" LCD, Live View: Digital Cameras
Lens supposedly isn't too great: Nikon 18-105mm VR
Total $1,030.54
OPTION 2: Might be better to buy a body only:
from BH: Nikon | D90 SLR Digital Camera (Camera Body) | 25446 | B&H Photo
Lens:
a) For night photos Nikon 50mm f/1.8 D
Nikon | Normal AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D Autofocus Lens | 2137 | B&H
Review: Getting Great High ISO Performance
b) Multi use lens Nikon 18-55mm II
Nikon | 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor | 2170
Review: Nikon 18-55mm II
c) any other lenses I should consider?
Total: 780 + 100 + 120 = $1000
OPTION 3: D90 body + a middle class lens. Any specific one I should consider (~$300ish or so budget if I went that way).
Thank you for your time.
