What music do you love?

good thread. i was wondering if there were any punx on here haha. i do a solo guitar project and play in a few bands. noise-rock, electronic droney stuff.

i like to listen to krautrock, instrumental, some heavier stuff... Wolves in the Throne Room, Om, Shellac, Mercury Program, Angels Of Light, Neurosis... some middle eastern oud playing, some jpop. that's what i'm into this week. next week it'll prob be different. But Kraftwerk and Can... FOREVER.

Everything but most rap.

Not huge into pop, either, but it's ok.

I mostly listen to classical when I'm at home.

Currently listening to Mahler's 6th Symphony (for like, the 3rd day in a row)

I like everything, well I mean I have songs that I like in all genres of music. My favorites in no particular order trance, house, electro, electronica, world, minimalist dance, and dance in general.

I'm lucky to live in a state that has a thriving music scene, especially in Austin.

James McMurtry is one of my favorites. Here is an older clip from him.

I love classic rock along with some newer stuff. I recently took a liken' to Arcade fire and what's even better is when you discover you like a band that's been around awhile that you haven't given much mind to. My son picked up Radiohead "In Rainbows" it took a few listens but I am hooked. what's great is that they already have a catalogue of 6 or 7 albums for me to pick up, when I want. I just picked up OK Computer and The Bends. Great Stuff.

I love Ben Folds.

I also am into Sufjan Stevens, Radiohead, The Mountain Goats, James Taylor, N.W.A., Beastie Boys.

I'll give anything a listen, but I tend to gravitate back towards Indie (and yeah, I know how arbitrary of a genre that is).

Some of my favs: Bruce Springsteen, Wilco, The New Pornographers, Ghostface Killah, RZA, The Arctic Monkeys, Kanye West, Bright Eyes, The Rolling Stones, Neko Case, Arcade Fire, Fiona Apple, Badly Drawn Boy, Better than Ezra, Bishop Allen, The Clash, Elvis Costello, The Velvet Underground, The National, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Pogues, Rod Stewart, Sam Cooke, Ryan Adams, TV on the Radio.

Wow, Corry, I thought I'd be the only one to mostly be listening to Classical Music! My car radio is tuned to "NDR Kultur" (you'll all understand what that means!), and I only own classical CDs - though my record collection also sports all the Genesis LPs that have ever been out, but I have no means to play my old records. (There's many a classical music records among those, though, too!).

Drum and Bass, Breakbeat and some hip hop. In that order.

Love & Bass

you get a cookie for that!
