What stuff for my Canon T2i?

What other stuff can or should I look for my new Canon T2i? I like taking pictures and videos while at the drag strip. But my wife likes taking pictures of butterflies and the out doors. I also don't mind but just don't always have time to be out in the woods .

Lessee... butterflies = macro, outdoors = wide angle/normal/telephoto, both probably better with tripod. Drag strip = fast telephoto if you're shooting at night and from the stands. But it would help to know what you've got besides the camera body.

70-200 f2.8 and 100mm f2.8 macro. That should cover it. Oh and you will need a flash so a 430 or 580ex will do.

That glass is pretty expensive. 100mm f/2.8 is almost 1 grand, and 70-200 old model is $1300. So almost the price of 5dmk2

OP gave no budget and both pieces are outstanding glass. The 100mm macro is actually around $600. Plus the 5dmk2 is worthless without glass.

Guys I bought the camera with the lense and haven't bought anything else. I would like to learn how to use it first....

You need a new lens. the lens that it comes with sucks, i got a 70-300mm 2 days after i got my t2i.

Is this the lense you are talking about?

Also does this zoom in and out on it's own?
