Don't know if anyone has started to hear any of the hype coming down thus far but it seems that Carl Zeiss is up to something and it could involve all of us with SLRs...

I saw some speculation on MSN because of the new picture on the top of Carl Zeiss Camera's homepage. It has a notepad with the phrase, "Millions of SLR Photographers will soon discover a new dimension in photography." Word on the net is that they are developing SLR lenses for major manufacturers like Canon and Nikon... I'm sure there will be more to come.

Edit: As I am looking for more info, it looks like dpreview has been hearing the same stuff.

This could be some really interesting news if it's true. I love the optics on my Yashicamat, they are Zeiss from what I know.
