Me... I'm sick of trying to explain why I would shoot with an "old-fashioned" low tech rangefinder... and why I feel its necessary to carry it with me most of the time.

See, most times I *try* to go out and take photos, I'm with my family... Problem is my family insists I stay with them, and complain when I slow down to take photos, and my wife thinks taking photos of anything other than the kids is a waste of time, and $deity forbid I might enjoy taking photos of someone I don't even know! I Love 'em, but they really annoy me sometimes

I totally feel for you on this point. It is always hard to go anywhere by myself and the wife and kids don't understand why I would want to go somewhere just to take pictures. Especially since my wife is into scrap booking and thinks either every picture must be scrapped or I should only take pictures of people or places that she wants in an album.

Taking a picture of some random thing/place/person makes no sense to her at all. Although I do have a ray of hope in my daughter. She is very artistic and told my wife she wants a camera for Christmas. So maybe I'll have a shooting buddy soon.
