You gotta go!
It's a cool pic... but I don't get the title/text.
is it a joke?
It's an ejector seat.............................?
Ladies and gentlemen, please keep all arms and legs inside the ejector seat until it comes to a full stop, thank you.
I get it. :mrgreen:
I knew you'd catch up eventually! :thumbup:
Thanks everyone for looking!
Hey! Watch out with those arms!
Haven't you heard what Kelox has said!!! :shock:
It used to be a problem with ejections where pilots arms would get broken because they were flailing about and, more seriously, the pilots legs would still be extended under the "dashboard" upon ejecting, resulting in serious leg injuries and amputations!
Newer seats had straps (like pre-tensioned seatbelts) that clipped onto the pilots calfs and elbows on the flight suits. Part of the ejection sequence involved the straps being pulled tight before the seat left the plane which saved many injuries!
Good ole Martin Baker! :thumbup:
Why did I remember that bit of useless information?
It's not like I'm ever going to need it, yet today I forget to buy milk!
I'm guessing its not airworthy what with all the corrosion:lmao:
just the way mens brains work... we only remember the good stuff...
Jet Planes = cool
Milk = Who cares
