Photos NOT OK to edit
Every year at this time we get close to 100 White Egrets, Cormorant's & Anhinga's that nest in a park at a near by lake. Lots of Pine trees, Cypress tree's and many other tree's I can't identify.
Very Shady area so lighting is always tough, but sometimes works out well with such a white bird!

The Anhinga's and Cormorants are really high in the trees but the Egrets are very low.

What were your settings? Lens zoom? GREAT pics!!

(Nikon D300?)

Very nice poses and flight shots. Great detail in some of them. Really love #4 for all things, pose, light, detail.

Thanks Shocknawe...I was turing blue :)!

(Nikon D300?)

I was using a Nikkor 200-400MM F4, ED, IF, VR lens

Setting varied...all with in 200-400mm focal length

Iso 400 or 500 ...lighting was changing constantly.
Shutter varied from 1/250 for the still shots and 1/1250 for the inflights. Most of the time I used an Fstop of F8. Next time I will post settings with each pic

sure make a fool of me! I wrote that cause I constantly see people asking you, especially with the eagle photos and you usually don't reply to it....so I just assumed it was "your thing" not to say..

Gosh, the second one is INCREDIBLE....actually the two where they fly....

like a piece of Japanese ART!
INCREDIBLE photos

I've never seen the green bits at the side of the head before. They certainly have been blessed with beautiful plumage. Great detail showing the spars at the sides.

Another cracker.

Cousin.

#2 and #6 were my favorite great shots
