Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
I've just recently started to use PS to touchup my photos and I'm something’s been bothering me. Why is it that when I'm viewing a jpeg in PS it'll appear perfect, but when I view it outside PS it'll appear darker with harsher tones? I’m assuming it may have something to do with gamma, but I’m not sure. I just want the photo to appear the same outside PS. What can I do?

I have mentioned this before in another post. I use PS 6.0 so I would assume that later verions have this also. PS installs a monitor adjustment that is located in the control panel. Adobe Gamma that takes you through a monitor calibration. I use to have that same thing happen. I would adjust the photo in PS then open it in say Paint Shop and it would look completly different (like Crap) But I don't have that problem now opening it in whatever I use to view the photo once I adjust it in PS.

Hope that helps.

Yeah...it was my thread you posted that in a while back. I did the adjustments and everything is peachy keen now! :)
