Can anyone tell me what setting(s) or protocols TPF has used which cause my browswer to lock up and/or not respond? Typically, can get 3-5 page loads between occurrences. When it does happen, the only option is to close the window, and open a new one. Repeated presses of any option have no effect, nor does F5. On a shared dial-up connection this is a painful process to say the least.

I access two other boards running the same front-end vBulliten sofware, as well as a number of other boards using various UBB software, so I am confident it is neither my computer nor the fact that this is a general bulletin-board issue.

I am running Win XP Pro, SP2 on a high-end HP Notebook.

Might help if we knew what browswer you were using...

Agreed, get firefox, IE can't handle that heavy use. Multi window/tab browsing on IE is problematic at best from my experience. I ended up going agenst the wishes of my employer and dopwnloaded FF because I could not use IE on this computer. My internet obligations and use locked it up every time.
