why is this so cheap?

Surely you can't do colour infrared?
You can do it on color film, and you get different IR wavelenghts translated to the visible spectrum, but on the DSLRs you just get a tint of some color all over the image and it's not really discernible.

If you don't know for sure, then don't respond. Xrays are not involved here. :lmao:

Hey appreciate that there Doc.

I mistyped, I meant UV rays. (Sitting in a Radiology class when I typed it.)

Was trying to work through it myself. But thanks for setting us all straight.

Although no one has really explained why there is such a huge difference in price. "Because it's on Ebay" doesn't cut it. It may be on Ebay, but that model is still only $40 at B&H while all others are over $200, with most in the $300-400 range. There has got to be another reason for a 500% price difference. And if it were just scaled from low end to high end, one would think there would be a middle ground between the $40 and $200 versions.

the only thing i can see is that one of those filters passes rays through at a certain level while the more expensive one passes more through at a higher level.

oh and doc, its my thread, so dont act like an ass in it. thanks dude.
