When using Matlab to deal with a DNG picture,it shows that the BlackLevel and WhiteLevel is 2047 and 15000 respectively.

But there still exists a weird phenomenon that the intensity values of some pixels are out of this range (2047-15000), such as 1997, 15297.

Why???

Unless you told it to clip at those two levels then it seems that the data can extend beyond. I would think this could be the case if the BlackLevel is not 0,0,0 in RGB.

I had bought Matlab back in the 90's and never really used it, and long before I had a digital camera to think about doing things like this. Hope somebody else has more information.
