Wide Angle

Im debating over getting the 16 to 35mm 2.8 L Series Lens since I already have 24-70mm 2.8 L. I'm wondering if there is anyone that has experience shooting with both of these lenses and can tell me the 16-35 is worth it.

I see quite a few photo journalists walking around with the 16-35 L...they must like it. I recently read that it has issues with corner softness...but that should be expected...being that wide and fast.

I don't really hear photographers raving about it's quality...like I do with the 24-70 L...but that doesnt prove anything. I do hear a lot of people gushing over the 17-40 F4 L...which is said to be a great lens...just a little slower at F4. I think the 17-40 is quite a bit cheaper than the 16-35...so is that one stop really worth it? I don't know.
