For the most part, I agree completely. There are a few images which have appeal, but the vast majority of his work seems utterly pointless to me.

Glad I'm not alone. If his advice results in images like his, I think I would recommend ignoring it. Fortunately, there are some terrific street photographers whose work can and should inspire.

I don't know...most of what I see in that article look like simple snapshots to me. I might pay $3 for that book set, but certainly not $300. Just me...

I think he is saying that the impact and aesthetics of the photograph are more important than its technical specifications. I agree.
