what are you running on the skin?

Not sure what you're asking about
 
did you use Portraiture software (or alike) on these images (specifically #3)?
 
A little Lightroom work on # 2

The skin softening adjustment brush and the Dodge and Burn tools in LR can do pretty well on portraits if one is familiar with how to use them. Many go too far on skin, eyes and teeth. Keep at it, winter is a long way from over.
