Winter Sun

    I notice every once and awhile the sun does this weird thing where it gets behind clouds enough that you can still see that its there, but its light is being blocked out enough that you can actually see it as a circle...anyways, this was my attempt to capture that.

    I really like the emtpy space. I see this often as well, but haven't tried to capture it. Good job.

    Hey, you did really well in your attempt to capture the sun as it was veiled by clouds. Really nice --- I really like the fact that in order to bring the sun into your frame produced such a large amount of sky! While I am normally no longer a great fan of grey skies such as this one, your PHOTO seems to console me with the fact that ours have been less than this (i.e. minus sun all day) for days and weeks. ;)

    I was worried that the grey might be a bit too grey, but couldn't find any better alternatives while post processing. I'm glad you guys liked it :)

    i'm a big fan of unusual compositions like this. very brave use of space.
