    I don't understand why they want to try blue ice...Isn't the problem that 'casual' fans can't see the puck? What would be easier than a black puck on white ice? Anything else will just make it harder to see.

    And what's the deal with being able to see the puck anyway? You can't see the baseball all the time and people don't' complain about that.

    I get American sports shows on the radio and I just can't understand why hockey is less popular than poker down there. I can't sit through a baseball game without going to sleep but they think hockey is boring? They can watch cars turn left for three hours but bowling gets better ratings than hockey?

    I think the problem is the play-by-play announcers. I have a hard time watching a hockey game on ABC or any American network because the announcers don't know what they are doing and they are tying to over produce it with graphics & stupid stats like they do with Baseball & NFL football.

    I just shot a hockey game in long beach and they have blue ice. its pretty cool. no pun intended.

    Didn't the New York Islanders have blue ice (maybe a lighter tint of blue) for a while a couple years back?
