This reminds me of the CIA taking down Carlos the Jackal. They had set up surveillance a 1/4 mile away with a Nikon 1000mm in an apartment and the wiseacre behind the camera took a shot of his mouth

Well if you think about it. Sports photographers use the 600mm /f4.0
This is a 100mm less but at /f2.8

Good bird/ wildlife lens. Now the 2x = 1000mm might be over kill LOL
