WTB: Sharp copy: Tamron 17-50 2.8 or Sigma 18-50 2.8

Looking at both of these lenses for my D200...or maybe even the Tokina 16-50. Not interested in other ranges or slower lenses at the moment.

I guess it's too late, but you can get new promaster 17-50 2.8s for dirt cheap if you can find them.
Same thing as a tamron with a different warranty/label.
I've heard of them being sold for as cheap as $189 (paid more than that for mine though).

Yeah? I had heard a bit about that Promaster lens, but hadn't looked into it much. I got the Tamron (w/o motor) for just over 2 bills...so I'm pretty happy
