    I vote for two and three as the best out of the bunch. The whole series is good though, there are no shots there that I think aren't at least good. I'm not sure what I can tell you to improve on, because I don't see anything that you did wrong. Then again, I'm no expert. But based on what I do know about portraiture, I'd say you did a good job, a really good job.

    HAHA, put him in a situation where grumpy works. Although, by the looks of it, grumpy on him is still cute. Give him a fake gun and let him be grumpy.

    Heehee, the cowboy hat makes a great prop. My faves are also 2 and 3 as you can see his eyes, and his 'serious' expression works well.

    I would spice it up a little and use a different background.

    One thing where do you get those borders for the photos?

    The borders were done in photoshop by applying a stroke and increasing th canvas size ;)
