    well, today i was looking out my window, and seen this little guy or girl not sure...? anyway, it is what i think a Yellow-Shafted Flicker, but if not, help me out :)

    I have never seen a bird like this before. Check out his poka dots! How cool. I will be checking back to see if anyone knows what kind of bird this is. Nice shots by the way.

    Thanks guys!

    i emailed the local newspaper bird guy, lol, he said its name is changed from yellow-shafted flicker to northern flicker. i guess my bird book is a bit out dated( 1962 LOL!)
