Olympus, indoor, flash, first time using my new tripod on myself

I love my tripod, it makes self portraits so much easier to do....
Anyway, my friend gave me that shirt a little while ago, heh, and I decided to take pictures in it. This is more of a fashion photo. I guess I can be sort of a show off when it comes to the clothes I wear, inthe fact that it is unique. Yup, i have atually worn that helmet in public. It's an authentic vietman war soldier helmet. Found it in the basement when my family moved into this house. Anyway, back to the point. Since I finally have a tripod, i wanted to try new angles and such. Tell me what you think of the pose and the angle.

I like this - but like I said in the other thread, try a different lighting source. The harshness of flash is tough.

dont use auto mode. manually set it off of flash. you might like window lighting, just make sure it isnt too harsh (through a white sheet is great).

I diffuse my flash with a kleenex. :) No where near perfect, but much better than on board flash.

I like the idea and positioning in the photo but I just think it might need more contrast or it might be more dramatic in B&W?
