Young Hawks in the Shade.....

    While visiting the park with my Granddaughter this weekend we found a couple of young Red Shouldered Hawks hiding in the shade.

    Congrats on the ground shot! In my experience, birds of prey don't sit around on the ground waiting for perfectly composed photos.

    IMO #3 with the background is worth a mat and a frame....but then again your home would be full of what I consider worthy of a mat and frame.

    These birds don't sit around for long at all.

    I think birds are attracted to this guy wherever he goes. Nice to see you always have your camera.

    I was less than twenty feet. Only had to use a 70-200MM 2.8 Nikkor lens for these shots! I seem to be able to walk right up to the birds, maybe I am one of them :lmao:

    And yes...I do take my gear every where I go.....you never know what you will come across!!!:mrgreen:
