I love the composition here and the feel of the photo. My only nitpik would be that there could be some additional light on the boys face, just a little fill flash to help him pop. Great shot!

I agree about the composition and the additional lighting on the boy's face. What I like most is the story it seems to tell. Even though that looks like the US flag it could really be symbolic for any flag from any country. Since you cut off most of the flag, it does help a lot to bring that message across...atleast for me.
