Hey guys, quick question for ya.

All I have right now is a 28-90 mm zoom lens. I keep reading about reversing rings, telephoto converters, extension tubes, etc... Do these things function the same on a zoom lens or are they intended to be used on a prime/fixed lens? I know it's a silly question, but I'm still curious nonetheless :)

Thanks,

Teleconverters work fine on zooms, BUT they almost never work with variable-aperture zooms, and due to their softening and light reduction, they're essentially useless on anything short of pro f/2.8 glass.

Ahh, okay. Thanks :)

Mine is f/4.0 to 5.6 (at 90 mm), so probably pointless to pick up a teleconverter until I've gotten a fixed lens, huh?
