This picture looks very grainy ... don't know if it is becaue it was lightened?
Also there is a very white area on top of his hair ... this is called overexposing (too much light on the sensor). In this case it was better to use a flash to expose the front a bit more.
The background is very neutral, compliments for that.
Also there is a bit more space on the side where the kid looks at (better than being in the central position).
