This mare was 37 years old, and has recently died. She was rescued by my sister, and used as a Mounted Posse Horse for several years, until arthritis in her knees from an injury retired her.
The mark on Chula's neck just below her mane is where she injured herself, and the infection was more then the antibiotics and her age could handle. The other side on her shoulder was much worse. This is about a day or two before she finally lost the battle. Such a Lover
