Hey thanks guys.
I'm going to mess around with it more today. :) You guys always have the answers. Oh and e.rose I'm the same way. Why spend money when I should know how to achieve it. I have to figure things out or it drives me crazy!
Here is the problem. I have been seeing this editing technique all over. I can't figure out if it is a filter they use or what. Like 3 of my favorite people I follow are doing it.
Can Anyone help me figure out what it is? It is not just giving it a matte finish...
Hey thanks guys,
I'm going to look into these options. I want to stay under $2000 as of right now. I know reflectors can be a hassle but I'd rather build up my stuff slowly so I don't over purchase. So far you guys have been awesome on this site. I just know I have a ton to learn. I...
I am just starting to really want to get into the studio side of things. Now to learn the art of studio lighting. I know it seems that alien bee's are a great place to start.
I am doing a ton of children, newborn, and families. Does anyone have suggestions. I know I'll need a large softbox...

LOL, it isn't someone that I'm frustrated. But that fact that I now look at people like that. Now I care...lol. I get frustrated and I'm not even trying to get business.
I have the D3100 and I love my 50mm f/1.8. I think that waiting until you can afford the af-s is easier for you. But that is just my opinion. It only saves you like $85.00 so to me that is worth the auto focus. But like I said I've only been using if for about a year.
Big Mike, I understand the 3-way compromise. (This might be the only thing I understand) I just may have wrote it wrong on here. I was saying I forgot my speed light, that is why I made my aperture smaller. And I did move my ISO up to 400 but I have a D3100 so I hate to go past that. There...
Okay so I never intend to go pro...at all! I love this hobby and I love taking great photos. On a scale of knowledge 1 being small and 20 being knowing everything I'm at about a 1.5. That is it. I love learning it. However, I hate seeing people that pick up a camera and then start charging...
