    Help with Pana G7 settings??

Hey thanks for the response! So I actually figured out that Panasonic has a setting called "constant preview" that needs to be turned on to work that way. All is good now! There are so many settings on this camera it's going to take quite a while for me to get used to it...unlike most of my...

    Help with Pana G7 settings??

Hey, I've been a long time Canon DSLR shooter but am getting into mirrorless, so needless to say I'm a complete newb to the way Panasonic does things. The question I have is, with Canon, when using live view in photo modes, I am able to see a live preview of the actual image I am going to...

    Opinions on new vid...

Thanks for the comments and I don't mind the criticism. I was never intending to make any video whatsoever with the footage and I was just testing out pulling. Some were smooth some were not...I got bored when I got home and wanted to see if I could pull (no pun intended) something together...

    Enter into the Desert World

Hey really cool...I liked it a lot and the song is awesome. Some really great shots...love some of those texture shots of the water. The wide landscape shots are very good too. Can I ask what equipment you used? It also looks like you had a quadcopter or something in some shots?

    Opinions on new vid...

Hey Nancy thanks! Yup you got the idea pretty much spot on. I just took a bunch of random footage practicing my pulls and when I came home to look at it, the only real theme I could think of is a sort of sad, dreary vide.

    Canon 50mm F1.8 vs Sigma 17-50 F2.8

Hey Dao, I wouldn't say shooting video with a steady cam or gimbal is better...they are just two different ways to stabilize your camera for certain types of shots. If you plan on shooting anything handheld, IS is definitely important. I would very very rarely use a lens without IS...

    Canon 50mm F1.8 vs Sigma 17-50 F2.8

Talk about perfect timing for the new Canon 50mm f1.8 stm. I'll definitely be picking that up. I believe the Sigma will suit my video needs at the 50mm range, especially with the OS/IS, but for the price this new prime will come out at, it's definitely going to be in the bag.

    Canon 50mm F1.8 vs Sigma 17-50 F2.8

If everyone were to look at the various reviews exclusively, I am guessing this discussion forum would seize to exist...that would be unfortunate. In addition to that, individual reviews of either lens do not shed much light on comparing the uses and functionality of these two lenses to each...

    Canon 50mm F1.8 vs Sigma 17-50 F2.8

Hey, I shoot mainly with a Canon 60D and do mostly video (I'd say 70/30 video) I was looking at possibly upgrading my 50mm lens, but I can't find a lens within my price range for that focal length that I think would be worthy of an upgrade to and am thinking of purchasing another lens all...

    Opinions on new vid...

Hey, This wasn't a planned video, but I went to the park with a camera and wanted to test out focus pulling with a new lens I picked up. I took all the footage hand held in about 30 minutes and made this video all in about 2 hours. There is a small story, but it might not be easily...

How to get this type of title?

Thanks for the reply. I guess I should have specified I'm looking for a way to do it in premiere pro...but I've got it figured out so all good.

How to get this type of title?

Hey everyone, I think I get it, but want to confirm. I'm trying to achieve a similar type of title (see beginning and end). I'm guessing all you would do is add a layer on top of the video, color it white, and add your font without color and that's it, but can anyone confirm I have this...

"You don't need that, people produce great quality films with an Iphone"

Majority of the time I am shooting with the cinestyle profile on both cameras, so yes, I am indeed shooting very neutral.

"You don't need that, people produce great quality films with an Iphone"

I really don't see a problem with #2. The Canon 60D and 70D should be near identical if set the same and any difference will be so minute he should be able to color correct and/or grade with minimal effort. I myself use a 60D and T3i and have very rarely noticed any considerable difference with...

    T3i for 60D?

Thanks DarkShadow and TCampbell. Love the ergonomics of the camera. I'm a fan of heavier cameras. Though I get tired quicker, it allows me to get smoother shots in video. Loving it so far.
