    Old Car City

I went to this place last week. It's a junkyard that's been there since 1931. Now, it's more of a museum than junkyard. 40+ acres, and 4000+ cars. Very interesting place. I only saw about 200 of the cars! 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

    Technical Question

Good idea, but I don't think that's it. I don't have that feature enabled, and it doesn't even list Panasonic as a brand. When I need to, I do corrections manually.

    Technical Question

Hi Guys, I noticed something interesting yesterday while shooting. When I take my shots, then merge them into HDRs, the HDR looks to have a slightly wider view and has some distortion. I noticed it, because the lens hood I have on my 14mm, doesn't show up in the straight shots, but does in the...

    Tom Polk Park, Charlotte, NC

Nope, nothing special there. Just merged the images, and let Photomatix Pro do its thing.

    Tom Polk Park, Charlotte, NC

Thanks everyone!! Oldmacman: The only thing I did was to use an ND filter on the lens, a 3 stop one at that. The water was mostly in the shade, which helped, and the ND really gave me the motion I was looking for.

    Centennial Olympic Park

Unfortunately, the space is limited, so I didn't have a lot of choices of angles to shoot. I tried my best to get rid of the railings and such, but it wasn't always possible.

    Centennial Olympic Park

It's along Centennial Olympic Park Dr, just north of Int'l, right next to the sidewalk. Not sure if this is new, which is why I never saw it before, or if I just didn't walk through that part of the park.

    Looking for camera advice

In my opinion, ANY camera that can shoot on manual will work fine. I never use AEB because I rarely shoot the same number of over and under exposures. Get something you like, that the controls work for you, shoot on manual and go for it. Personally, I shoot with an Olympus E-600 and an E-P1. I...

    Centennial Olympic Park Fountain

First test with my new Hoya 4 stop ND filter. I think I want to get a 10 stop one for daytime shooting. Got some movement in the water, but not enough for my taste.
