I was roaming around the back roads where I live taking photos of landscapes, old barns, houses and anything else and discovered a dragonfly got in the picture on this one.

That's kind of what I had in mind when you suggested it. Looks good. I may print it that way.

Thanks for the comments. I realized those branches were in the way when I reviewed the image on the camera. I tried to move a little bit to the right to get him again and must have spooked him because he took off. So I got what I got.

I think this is a Great Blue Heron. I took this on Assateague Island NWR last year.

My wife took this one on our recent cruise. I think she did a pretty good job on the fly.

Taken from the beach at Phillipsburg St. Maarten. This was out home for a week.

Thanks for the comments. I had less than a second at manual focus to get these so they are not as technically correct as they would be had I had more time. I shot off about a dozen shots in just a few seconds while these guys were moving around (quite fast too). The lens was at full 300 mm...

Thanks. Each year we travel from Central Virginia to the Chicago area to visit my MIL. We travel through some interesting territory so I get my wife to drive a while and I hoist the camera and shoot what I can see from the window. I have a few decent shots doing this and it helps pass the time...
