Try doing some B/W at high ISO. The extra grainy pics may look good.
Check if they have any shop lights that you can use. If they do use them to increase the light.
This happened to me last year. Couldn't lift my right arm for 2 weeks while in Ecuador. I awkwardly held the camera upright with my left hand and took the shot. I did lose sharpness due to camera shake while I pressed the trigger. If I didn't have to press the trigger my shots would have...
I am just back from a vacation in Ecuador and the Galapagos. I purchased a Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4 DC Macro OS HSM as an upgrade to my 18-55 Canon kit. I wasn't expecting the OS to be used much, as I would be shooting mostly outdoor and on the wide side. I got it mostly for the extra 20mm...
I am doing the trip on my own with my wife, although the Galapagos is pretty much a tour, since you could only get there by a chartered cruise. I'm pretty much done with tours. They always seem to stop in the middle of somewhere I have no interest of being, only because the souvenir shop that...
Nice work, and inspiring. I'm heading to Ecuador in a couple of weeks. One week in the Galapagos and one week for Quitto/Guayaquil and surrounding areas. Any tips you could send my way would be much appreciated.
After much deliberation I finally chose the Sigma 17-70 2.8-4 OS. I liked the range and the quality/ price ratio. From what I have read, there is some consistency issues with this lens across its range. I would like to know if there are sweet spots that users have found. I still have not...
At the time of purchase my Canon 55-250 IS was not compatible with tele-converters/tele-extender. I was wondering if there are any now that would be compatible with it, Canon or 3rd party.
Thanks
Thanks for the post. After seeing the comparisons, I think that I would like to be above 300mm but I may be able to live with my 250mm. I should be able to get closer to the animals in the Galapagos, than elsewhere. I just have to remember not to infringe on their space more than I already...
I'm heading to the Galapagos and was wondering if my 55-250 will give me enough reach. Aside from some landscape shots, would I need a wide angle lens.
I am putting my house up for sale and need to take some pictures of it. I have been on MLS and some of the pictures are quite sad. I want my pictures to stand out from the rest. An example of the type of pictures that I want to take can be found on Duproprio.com. This is a listing site...
I had left my camera in continuous shoot mode by accident, which turned out helpful when I came across some dolphins on a boat trip. I didn't have to play around with the camera settings, and was able to shoot right away. I was capturing 4-5 pics of the dolphins per surfacing.
My question is...
In the first picture I would turn off the headlights and turn on the parking lights. The headlights are too bright for my personal taste. I like the street reflections in the side panels of the car. The car actually looks dirty, but on a closer look it seems that it is reflections on the hood...
