Wow I can't even see the backdrop at all, I guess I need to re-calibrate this monitor. Thanks I'll be sure to fix that.

    d80 and lens

I wasn't going for a pure white background on this one, that doesn't necessarily mean under exposure it just means I didn't have a light brightening up the back drop. But thanks for the input.

Well it makes more sense after hearing that, but from an outsiders point of view without knowing that information the focus looks off.

Your focus is unfortunately on his hands, if it were on his eyes it would have been a really great shot. Nice capture regardless, just a little distracting that the focus is on the hands.

You should've moved in closer and got all the details. The framing and angle isn't very interesting. And you created a tangent point with the end of the truck and left border of the picture, which is a little bit distracting. You can do without the selective color, it isn't adding anything...

    portrait of girl

No it isn't wrong, however many newer photographers use PP as a crutch to use on pictures that lack basic compositional elements in order to make the photo more bearable to look at than it would have otherwise been. It is important to learn the basics of what makes a photo interesting using...

Are you seeing this screen? (not these percentages) This isnt the only way to do black and white but this way you have much more control over all the different individual color channels. This way you can tweak the different colors and to make it pop more.

...How so, the teeth and entire photo is overly pp'd, and this is not a good use of centering. To the OP, please tone down the PP, I see way too many people go crazy with photoshop and end up using it as a crutch, instead of taking a good picture, and using mild necessary PP to enhance it...

    Modeling

1: Everything appears too flat, everything blends together, what method are you using for your black and white conversion in pp? 2: Unlike that other guy said, this one should be centered as its decently symmetric, however the backgroud and surroundings throw off the symmetry so it doesn't...

Text is definately trying too hard, keep it simple, especially since text isn't even needed, just do without for now. The angle isn't exactly anything that makes this more interesting than a picture the next guy could take. Also you should adjust your lighting to catch the center section...

Yeah Im usually very strict on my self about using the rule of 3rd's when I'm not using symmetry, but for this one I thought I'd try something different and ease up on it a little bit but still have slightly more space on the right. I guess I should just go back to it though. :P Also I...
