1,2 &3 really show what a difference perspective makes. When was the last time you were nose to nose with the mailbox? Or that close to a rock or a leaf?

You know its funny. As madly popular the OPO is online; I've never met anyone else in real life who has even heard of it much less owns one.
Next time I will try a different approach to it completely. The more I go back the less I like this image. Total time from setup to the shoot and post...
lol it was an edc shot. If I get to carrying multiple guns per day I just need to move.
The lighting was my biggest issue. It was next to a window but not quite enough light so I added a lamp which cast harsh shadows. Then I tried to position the lamp above the subject angled downward; which...
I've been meaning to do a shot like this forever and never seem to take time to get around to it.
C&C welcome but not necessary. There are flaws- I rushed the shoot too much.

That would have been cool, but I didn't want to get too close to the camera and get into the picture. I was actually taking a long exposure shot when I did this one

I've taken a couple shots here and there but with...
I just bought a used version of the 11-16 tokina on eBay. I got the original version (no built in focus motor) for around $350. You can get the version 2 which includes the focus motor built in for approx $100 more....
In the few test shots I've done I am tickled to death with my purchase
Which is what makes it a difficult choice for me.
I'm sort of inclined to purchase a single filter of each and see what comes out of the bag most often for a while then go from there; but I'd want to buy an odd # not found in the sets (like the .45 or .75) to save money long run by still having...
Visited for a week back in Febuary-- beautiful place. My only disapointment was Scripps peir had beyond awful weather the day I made it down there; but the rest of the trip and the city are amazing. I spent a week with camera in hand; nearly 1k shots.
La Jolla; Balboa Park; downtown was it...
