    PocketWizard Plus IIs and SB-800s

Well, if I set all my flashes to SU-4 mode, I'd have nothing to trigger any of them (i.e.: they won't fire themselves). I own one SB-800 and will be renting two from my local camera store, so I wasn't able to test SU-4 mode, in the SB-800 that I own, for its optical slaving capability with...

    PocketWizard Plus IIs and SB-800s

As for RadioPoppers, they are barely cheaper. Their P1 units go for $180 a piece (transmitter or receiver).

    PocketWizard Plus IIs and SB-800s

Yah, I thought the SB-800's were capable of doing so. Thanks for the answers, everyone.

    PocketWizard Plus IIs and SB-800s

Haha. I never thought of that, actually. A sync cable. But if people were to purchase Pocket Wizards and need one for each flash, is this only because the optical slave signals don't work all the time, especially outside? So, basically a line-of-sight and fail-proof issue?

    PocketWizard Plus IIs and SB-800s

Someone wanna answer my question about having to only buy 2 Pocket Wizards and setting all other remote flashes in SU-4 mode to fire using it's optical slave capability?

    PocketWizard Plus IIs and SB-800s

One PW for each SB-800? Is there any way an SB-800 with PW can fire off another SB-800 without needing another Pocket Wizard attached to that? Would setting other remote flashes to SU-4 mode not work?

    PocketWizard Plus IIs and SB-800s

Let's change this: I want to use Pocket Wizard Plus II's to fire three SB-800 Speelight flashes. Am I able to just purchase two PocketWizards (placing one on camera's hotshoe and one on an SB-800) and set the other two SB-800's in SU-4 mode and have them all work wirelessly in sync, since...

    What did he do?

They are different in their own ways. But they do have an element in common: the element of their pictures being an "illustration". It has the "fake" look, if you will. Anyway, I know what I'm seeing. I want to know how to get my pictures there.

    Developing Digital Prints & PP

    1) I've encountered this problem with developing my digital prints. They don't come out the way they appear on the computer screen, after post-processing, nor do they come out anywhere near what I see. It's as if my edits on CS2 are magnified 10-fold when I print them. Does anybody know what I'm...

    Night Shots (How To)

I've been taking night shots of inanimate objects with shutter speeds of approx. 3 seconds and even longer sometimes. But I was wondering if there is a way to take night shots with a faster shutter speed? I'm wanting to take photos of people and I don't want them to have to sit COMPLETELY still...

    What did he do?

*Edited* So after doing some browsing, there's a style of photography (post-processing really) that I've come to love and want to do. I need all the help I can get to help make my photos look like these photographers': www.jeremycowart.com and www.davehillphoto.com. They both have this HDR...
