Favorite time of year in Texas...Springtime! I just can't get enough of the gorgeous wildflowers. Even though I love these photos, they still don't do it justice. Little slice of heaven on earth <3
Hi!! So it was recommended to me to try and clean my own sensor. With my canon I think I had my sensor cleaned 6 times in ten years LOL. But my sony, I've had 6 months and it's SO dirty, I'm currently cloning spots of 1000000000000 portraits right now. Is this just bad luck or does the sensor...
We survived 7 days with no water, idk how many hours with no power....and hopefully will survive the grocery food shortage Texas is now having! :boggled: Snow, you are beautiful but I think we have had enough for a lifetime....Here are some of my favorite shots from our Texas winter wonderland...
The stars were incredible last night so my son and I headed down to the neighborhood river park and set up the tripod for some shots. We were listening for cars to avoid headlights in our shot but one snuck up on us at the most PERFECT time and highlighted the cliff behind. Which one do you like...
New camera got delivered at 11:30 am and it took until 6:30 for the dang batteries to charge....torture I tell you! Anyway it's 100% completely different from my canon, but I went through adjusted some custom settings and braved the mosquito infested outside to test it out. I also got a new...
After years of swearing I was going to get a new body I finally ordered a sony mirrorless! I'm excited to try it out but I've had my current bodies for ~9 years now so I'm a little attached. I finally downloaded a program to get a shutter count and holy clicking!!!! What's the most you've had on...
On a recent thread I mentioned that when on road trips with the kids we try to stop as least as possible. But photography is in my blood and I can't help but to take photos of the sights. All of these photos were taken out of a moving vehicle, often with my son yelling "mom don't drop your camera!"
It could have been a nightmare...to anyone who might care....
After spending 8 days hiking around Colorado we headed back to Texas and stopped halfway to camp at Palo Duro canyon. We got there RIGHT AT GOLDEN HOUR!!! Driving through the canyon, all I wanted to do was jump out and take pics but...
Photography is my healing art. I turn to it whenever I am feeling overwhelmed with the world (hello quarantine!!). Grabbed these last week after moping around the house for a few days and immediately felt better. Thank you mother nature for giving us such beauty to appreciate.
(these are all...
As of today schools are closed, and grocery stores are empty. How better to pass the time than with photography[emoji991].....a few snaps from this morning

Temps reaching 100+ degrees here, but we are surviving thanks to mother nature and this spring fed river.

I have had several attempts with photographing the night sky but usually when I upload them they are out of focus. I have tried focusing to infinity (did not work) and also zooming in and live view/manual focusing on the brightest star I can find. For some reason I am having issues getting the...
I'm in the market for a backpack I can take hiking that will hold my camera gear (one body plus zoom) as well as a few family day hike necessities....water, snacks, sunscreen etc.
I would love to be able to put my camera in and out of the bag very easily as we are hiking roughish terrain...
When it's pushing 100 degrees outside, my gopro is my new best friend. I am obsessed with taking underwater photos!!! (all photos shot with hero4 + dome attachment)
1. under the sea (vacation to florida gulf)
4. my favorite place ( home, on the blanco river, texas)
6. my own...
One of my favorite photos of the year was from the blood moon eclipse! Now that we live in a "dark sky" community astro photography is becoming an obsession. (Best viewed on computer so you can see the stars)
#1 (my favorite!)
#3 this was an accidental shot that I kinda love :)
