My cousin wants me to take some photos at his wedding this summer and I've never really photographed people before. I'm going to do some practicing on some friends beforehand, but just curious what everyone's #1 piece of advice is for people photography?
:D
I drive by this hotel weekly, and finally stopped to shoot it. I guess I wasn't feeling creative that day as I wasn't pleased how they turned out. Comments & critique would be appreciated - any ideas of what I could do for next time??

I was pretty excited to shoot this bridge, but I'm not a fan of how they came out. I took about 60 shots and only liked these 4 enough to even post them. I plan on going to try again, but am wondering how to improve? Any feedback would be appreciated!!

I do have a question... In most of the pictures I take of her you can't see her eye as you do in this one... it just blends in and her face just appears black all the way through. Is there anyway I can change that?? Or is it just the lighting?
Took these today on the way back from skiing... any help or comments would be great. Thanks :)

When taking action shots of my horses, I seem to be getting a lot of noise in them, and I'm not sure why? I understand that the fast shutter speed has something to do with it. Here is what happens :

How on Earth do you all take such amazing pictures of yourselves??? Practice??? I tried it tonight and it was the worst thing I've ever done!! (I just got a tripod so I had to try it out) I didn't think I would have so much troubles with it.
Anyone have any pointers??
My grandmother sent me a big lens... and I haven't the slightest clue what I can do with it. My dad said it is a telephoto lens. I'm a huge Noob.... I've never even used different lenses before.

While in Ireland my travelling crew and I got a flat tire, and I just happened to spot a herd of beautiful horses near by. If it looks 'snapshotty' that might be because I don't have a fancy camera. YET.
I'm borrowing a camera at the moment... It says "FinePix, Fujifilm, S602" on it.. do'nt know if that's helpful or not. Its a digital. That's all I know about it. Anyway... I'm wondering if someone can give me some very beginner information...
