The 18-55 "kit" lens I have is obviously average. Have not been real impressed with the quality.
I'm looking for a nice lens for landscapes. I love the wide-angle types. Budget under $300 if possible.
Just getting ideas right now and recommendations what you all shoot with. :)
Hey gang!
Been looking on Amazon for an hour and I'm trying to get ideas for a sling type bag which will allow me to keep the lens on the body. I shoot with a Nikon D5200 and have the 70-300MM lens.
The configuration ideally would allow me to walk around and keep the camera mostly in the bag...
Hey everyone!
I have a Nikon D5200 and I'm trying to get some recommendations on a decent 300mm lens that will fit this model. The brand name isn't as important, but I would like something that has good, to above quality output. This lens also must be fully automatic, with vibration reduction...
Remember Pop Rocks, PacMan and MySpace? I heard MySpace is making a comeback so I had to look it up and sure enough, it's still out there. The interface looks totally different but it appears to be more targeted to celebrities and other ...self-promoters.
I'll stick to my occasional Facebook...
Hello people!
I have an ancient monitor so I'm starting to get ideas on what to buy next for my photography hobby. I want something large enough and of decent quality. I use a PC if that matters. I want something I can calibrate so my images can be as close as possible to the true output of my...
I recently purchased a D5200, upgraded from a D40.
Looking for advice from experienced D5200 photographers on what camera settings to adjust from default to make your shooting experience more productive.
I personally shoot in RAW format.
I've looked into the Ken Rockwell online setups and...
Here's one I've struggled with for years, probably because I never really researched it.
How to you get those beautiful images of a subject where the sun is directly in your face? Well, not the bright sun so to speak, but sunsets or sunrises. I've tried using the built-in flash from various...
We've all heard of Photoshop and many other image editing software but since I've been out of the photography world for a while I'd like to understand who uses online editors and why. Are there quality FREE sites out there and if so, please provide a link.
My main focus will be working with RAW...
I'm getting back into my passion as a hobby but with the vast amount of websites out there I'm not sure what the best approach is for me to share my photos. I said hobby right? Well, a person would always like to make a little money from their photography work but it's not my main concern for I...
Years ago I owned a Nikon D40 with two Auto/VR lenses. The 18-55 and 70-200... I think. Not sure why I sold everything but I did. I got burned out on photography for some reason and sold everything. Yeah, it happens...
Today is a new day -
So, now I want to get back into the passion I loved...
I see they offer various price packages and wasn't sure which one would work for me if I decided to start using a site like that for customers.
Right now photography is a hobby but I'm getting ideas for the future, when I upgrade my gear and decide how to market myself more, like a part-time...
Howdy!
I've been out of the loop for a while taking photos but want to get back into it and I'm looking for ideas where to start building my portfolio again. Years ago I had nearly 2,000 images on Flickr but I don't have the site any longer. Not sure if I want to do the Flickr route again, but...
For over a decade I shot with a Nikon D40. I had about three lenses and all the basic stuff in my bag. I sold it all for a simple point and shoot because I thought I was done with serious photography but guess what? I was wrong. It's a passion that will never go away, just like people have a...
I will try to be brief with my questions so feel free to ask me anything you may need more detail on.
I work full time but I'm free most evenings and weekends. I want to slowly turn my passion into a full-time profession some day. This may take years, I'm in no hurry. I'm 45 and tired of...
