Hey thanks guys.
I'm going to mess around with it more today. :) You guys always have the answers. Oh and e.rose I'm the same way. Why spend money when I should know how to achieve it. I have to figure things out or it drives me crazy!
Here is the problem. I have been seeing this editing technique all over. I can't figure out if it is a filter they use or what. Like 3 of my favorite people I follow are doing it.
Can Anyone help me figure out what it is? It is not just giving it a matte finish...
Hey thanks guys,
I'm going to look into these options. I want to stay under $2000 as of right now. I know reflectors can be a hassle but I'd rather build up my stuff slowly so I don't over purchase. So far you guys have been awesome on this site. I just know I have a ton to learn. I...
I am just starting to really want to get into the studio side of things. Now to learn the art of studio lighting. I know it seems that alien bee's are a great place to start.
I am doing a ton of children, newborn, and families. Does anyone have suggestions. I know I'll need a large softbox...
I found someone selling a D700. I've been waiting for someone to want to upgrade.I am meeting sat. To look it over. Price of 1600.00 it has 10,000 clicks. Said it was their back up camera. Price point good? It looked like it was from my research. What should I look for to make sure everything...
LOl, I've never noticed before is all I'm saying. I see all of your posts on here getting frustrated at noobs but I never really saw how many people actually do this. It is everywhere!
LOL, it isn't someone that I'm frustrated. But that fact that I now look at people like that. Now I care...lol. I get frustrated and I'm not even trying to get business.
I have the D3100 and I love my 50mm f/1.8. I think that waiting until you can afford the af-s is easier for you. But that is just my opinion. It only saves you like $85.00 so to me that is worth the auto focus. But like I said I've only been using if for about a year.
Big Mike, I understand the 3-way compromise. (This might be the only thing I understand) I just may have wrote it wrong on here. I was saying I forgot my speed light, that is why I made my aperture smaller. And I did move my ISO up to 400 but I have a D3100 so I hate to go past that. There...
Okay so I never intend to go pro...at all! I love this hobby and I love taking great photos. On a scale of knowledge 1 being small and 20 being knowing everything I'm at about a 1.5. That is it. I love learning it. However, I hate seeing people that pick up a camera and then start charging...
Note: If I have awful typing and spelling issues today I have a newborn and 19 month old at home and I'm trying to type really fast. Sorry, I know it is frustrating. But thank you for your responses it really helps me learn.
I had it smaller because we were inside and I didn't have my speed light on me. I hate the on camera flash. And my shutter speed was way to slow if I had it higher. Next time I will know just to bring it along. (I thought we would be outside more) I should have known better. At least I know...
I usually take pictures of just my family. Mostly my children so having my 35mm on or my 50mm and the aperture fairly low f /2.5 to 2 pretty low works for that. But when I want to take a pic of a groups say family at Easter I have a hard time knowing where to set my focus point and my aperture...
I will look into the vivitar 285hv. When I was looking this flash up most people had good reviews. Has anyone used the LumpPro LP160. Anyone else like other flashes that aren't an arm and a leg?
Which older sb's do you have? I see some on my local CL at times. Sometimes I wonder if I should jump on them. I have an umbrella right now but that is it.
