I have attached two photos to show our setup and my camera settings - to be honest I cant see my boss changing the lights as the photography gets a fair amount of traffic (unfortunately) so things get knocked occasionally and a couple of other members of staff use the setup from time to time for...
We use a lightcube with LED panels around it which seems to do a sufficient job so I'm thinking glass is the way to go as an 'upgrade' - currently my photos come out ok but when you zoom in there is a fair amount of fuzziness in places. I have experimented with settings on the camera and reduced...
Hi guys, have been using a Nikon D5300 for work Product Photography for a couple of years now and time has come to possibly upgrade the camera so we can give this one to another factory for them to take their own photos.
I have been fairly happy with the camera using the kit lens and after some...

Thanks John, interesting reading - i will skip the blue backdrop as im not convinced it would remain a consistent colour, plus we sometimes need the background cut out for other markets outside the UK. Are you saying the LED's are a waste of time? this is my first time using them and im not...
Soooooo......i decided to rip the whole setup down and start again from scratch - i moved the cube to one side as i have never had much joy with them myself on previous projects and set up the basic paper backdrop with the two LED panels and tried to block as much surrounding light as possible...
So to avoid confusion i have included a smaller part to highlight my struggle - the image that i am aiming for IS ALSO OUR PROPERTY SO PLEASE DONT REMOVE IT AGAIN(!)
The setup:
The problem (not sharp from front to back) can you see the focus fall-off on the left hand side?
What i am aiming...
