    Exporting from Lightroom question

Should the PPI be set to 300 when exporting? The default was 240 and then I realized I should probably switch it to 300. Also, for stylistic reasons, I crop many of my images...is there anything I need to be careful about when doing so (adjusting settings, etc?)?

    Advice for Manual Mode

I noticed in the sunny article they make a brief mention of backlighting in the chart. that brings me to this question: what would be a reasonable or good fstop/shutter speed to work with IN MANUAL MODE when doing backlit photos (side note: I know to use spot metering).

    Advice for Manual Mode

I have found that when I set my ISO to auto that some of my images come out too dark so I feel like I can't trust using it? maybe I should be using it anyway? maybe it is supposed to look a bit dark in the camera? what camera do you have?

    Underexpose or Overexpose

would you trust using the autoISO in those semi automatic modes? I prefer using Shutter priority so my shutter doesn't slip below 1/200. I have found that when I have used autoISO, sometimes my pictures come out too dark so I don't typically trust it. maybe I should be using it more?

    Underexpose or Overexpose

I have the 5d mark iii. please tell me how to easily zero the meter. I find that by the time i zero it any slight movement of mine or shift in the lighting changes it.
