I am going to be launching my small photography business within the next few months, and am in the process of creating my website.
Right now there is not much on there, and I will be adding my portfolio soon, but for right now I would appreciate some feedback as to what you guys think needs...
I am working on developing a website for my new photography business and wanted to take a self portrait of myself with my camera to put on the homepage. This was my idea, but I'm not as happy with it as I thought I was going to be, especially with the green shirt against the green background. I...
My sister asked me to take her senior photos last month. It was my first time and I kinda wanted to use the experience as a practice try.
I'm including three of my personal favorites and would appreciate any pointers and suggestions for the next time I try this.
Hi, I am going to open my own photography business in the near future, and have done four or five shoots for free recently to start off my portfolio (Free only because I don't have a business license yet)
Because of the large military presence in the city I live in, the population is the...
Towards the end of this year I am going to be starting a photography business dealing mostly with outdoor family photos.
I currently own a D800 body and a phenomenal 16-35mm lens, a very good 50mm prime, and a somewhat cheap telephoto zoom.
For a long time I've been seriously considering...
I am getting ready to start my business soon, and am debating on whether I want to tack on the word "photography" or "Photo" at the end of my domain name. Right now I am probably not going to include either (in the interest of a shorter, more concise domain that's easy to remember.)
I currently own a Nikon D800 and D40, both of which I a very happy with. The problem is that I don't always want to lug around a DSLR everywhere I go. Also, I love deep woods backpacking, kayaking in the ocean, mudding, and pretty much every other type of recreational activity you...
I am planning on starting a small business towards the end of the year, and am currently trying to come up with a logo for my business. The business name will be Wallace Photo.
I have come up with several ideas so far. This is the one I seem to like the best and will probably be going with...
Hey, I'm thinking about opening my own photography business in the near future, and created a website that I will use for advertising/marketing.
It's pretty plain and simple right now (not to mention free) but I don't mind that because as of right now I am...
I saw a few lengths of PVC pipe the other day and it gave me this crazy idea. After a trip to Lowe's and several hours of experimenting with different lengths of PVC this is what I came up with.
Note, every sound used in this video was created using PVC pipe in some way.
I just created a very simple website to advertise my photography services as a hobby. I'm planning on linking to this site on Craigslist and Facebook and some local websites just to get my name out.
Eventually I'll spend the cash on a more professional website, but I'm not making any money...
I did some slight sharpening and brightening on her eyes.
I wish her knee wasn't in the shot, but I didn't notice it until it until afterwards.
Took a few pictures the other day of a young boy trying to blow a dandelion, offering it to his mom, and then shoving it in her face :)
I'm still working on my photography skills, so I'd appreciate any feedback.
Took a walk around Lake Michigan the other day with a few of my friends taking pictures of each other.
I'd appreciate some feedback and what I can do better in the future.
Just trying to make myself better! :)
I'm currently living in Djibouti, Africa and took they day off a while back to visit a wild game refuge with my friends. It seemed like a good opportunity to work on my photography skills.
Let me know what you think, and what I could do better in the future. Thanks.
It's time for me to get a new camera body. I bought a Nikon D40 five years ago and have outgrown it. Right now I'm leaning towards the D700.
I've been looking at different sites to buy used like Adorama, Ebay, and amazon, as well as classifieds like craigslist, or other forum users advertising...
Over the last month or so I've been seriously considering upgrading to a D3.
My biggest reservation right now is that the larger sensor would essentially make my DX lenses obsolete. Of course, I'd probably invest in some new glass to go along with the new camera, but most of the lenses I've...
Hi everyone, this is my first post on these forums.
I fell in love with photography when I was in high school. I bought a modest Nikon D40, which was the only DSLR I could afford at the time, and accumulated a few lenses and other equipment before I graduated. I would have loved to have...
