    Taking Back Sunday/All American Rejects/Anberlin (10 images)

We had a triple concert at our school last fall. These are a few of my favorites from the night. Most of them are black and white because I wasn't too impressed with the lighting that night. Please let me know what you think and as always, comments and critique are very welcome. Check out my...

    Noise reduction software?

Looking for some noise reduction software. A friend recommended Neat Image 6.0 which works pretty well (if I could get it to save in the correct format...though that might be a limitation of the trial version I'm using). Has anybody else used this or another noise reduction program they've been...

    Casio EX-G1

I'm looking at getting this camera but I don't really know anything about Casio cameras. Is this worth getting?

    WTB: Nikon D300

I'm posting this for a friend who's looking to get a bit of a deal on a D300. New or barely used is good. If it has any significant use, he's not interested. If you want to sell it with some accessories, let me know what they are; he'll probably take them, too. Thanks in advance.

    Cartel Concert

Some shots I took at a Cartel concert. Comment and critique please, even if it concerns my watermark placement (I'm new at that). [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9]

    XMP Files?

After editing some photos on Photoshop, I found a bunch of .xmp files in the same folder. Can someone enlighten me as to what these are? Can I get rid of them?

    D300 settings question?

I often shoot manually. I've become very annoyed that I can change the shutting and aperture settings, snap a shot, then when I take my finger off the shutter button the camera changes the settings I just set. Is this an automatic operation that I can just turn off somewhere on the camera?

    Importance of Multiple Cards?

Why is it so important to have multiple memory cards with you when you shoot? I've seen several people state the importance of carrying several cards with you when you shoot. I carry a single 16GB CF card with me. It stays in the camera 24/7 and I have never come close to filling it, so what's...

    1.4 vs 1.8?

I'm looking at getting a Nikon 50mm. I'm pretty set on the 1.8 over the 1.4, mainly because of the price difference (as I've mentioned in other threads asking about lenses, price is a huge factor). I'm just curious as to how much better the 1.4 actually is over the 1.8. I'm simply assuming it's...

Lens: Nikon vs Sigma vs Tamron

I'm looking to get a new lens. Ideally, I would love to get the Nikon 70-200 VR 2.8. Price is the only issue, but it's a big one. I'm considering a cheaper alternative, either the Sigma 70-200 2.8 or the Tamron 70-200 2.8. Does anybody have any input on what might be my best decision? Or has...

    Lens rentals?

I'm looking for websites where I can rent some lenses. I've found one or two but wasn't too impressed with their prices. Anybody have any experience with this?

    SB600 Wireless Capabilities?

I'm still learning the ins and outs of some of my equipment. I'm confused about how the wireless capabilities work for my Nikon SB600. Can I wirelessly link my D300 to my SB600 or can I only link the SB600 with other compatible flashes?

Looking for a good zoom lens.

I shoot now with a Nikkor 55-200 f/4-5.6 lens. It's slow and terrible in low light. I'm looking to upgrade and was looking into either Sigma 70-200 or Nikon 70-200. Obviously the biggest difference is price but I was wondering how much I'd sacrifice by going with the Sigma over Nikon. I've read...

    Pricing for Wedding Photos

I just shot my first wedding on Saturday, for a friend, and for very very cheap (I'm lucky if what I was paid covered travel costs). I have three more weddings that I have been asked to do, for friends, and I actually want to make money this time. That's why I bought the equipment that I did. So...

    Wedding Photos & Flash

I shot my first wedding for a friend on Saturday. Let's just say I consider it nothing more than a little practice for doing it again, as many things didn't go as well as I had hoped (mostly because the wedding was quickly put together and I was asked last minute to do it without much...

WTB: Fisheye Lens for Nikon Mount

I'm looking to get a fisheye lens for my D300. I'm looking for something like the Tokina 10-17mm or a Sigma fisheye. Are there any pros or cons to having the 10-17mm as opposed to a fixed 10mm or 12mm? Also, if anyone has any experience with either of these lenses, please share. EDIT: Just...
